Summer Exhibition: Flora and Fauna

July 6 though August 10, 2019
Opening Reception Friday, July 19, 7pm

Flora and Fauna explores human relationship to and depiction of other species through 2- and 3-dimensional work by accomplished artists working across the region. Plants and animals have long provided material for a wide range of artistic expression. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, and photography take inspiration from other species in a myriad of ways, including form, color, and metaphor. From realistic likeness to highly inventive interpretations, this group exhibition features works by Kat Corrigan, Emily Donovan, Laura Hallen, Lynda Monick-Isenberg, Areca Roe, Ann-Marie Rose, and Alonso Sierralta.

Flora and Fauna is an invitational exhibition curated by Anderson Center Director Stephanie Rogers. It will be on view to the public from July 6 – August 10, 2019. Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, July 19 from 7–9pm. The artists will be present and refreshments will be provided.
