The Anderson Center annually hosts a variety of artistic, educational and cultural activities, including art celebrations, exhibitions, book fairs, performances, lectures, classes, retreats, symposia, and other community-minded events. The work of more than 220 artists and writers is exhibited and published each year by the Center, with approximately 6,000 people from the five-state area attending events.

Other activities include "Students in the Studios," a program designed to introduce Tower View Alternative High School students to a variety of artistic media and to work one-on-one with professional artists in their studios at the Center. The "Tower View Scholarship," an award for post-secondary education, is presented each year by the Center to honor an outstanding graduate of the Tower View Alternative High School.
